Hi Friends,
First hunt of the year produced an 1800 Draped Bust, 1900 Barber Quarter, Ox Knob, and an Aluminum Ring. The wheats were from the other day. Thanks for looking!
Drew

How cool is that?! What kind of site was this at, Drew? The Draped Bust has a nice, clear 1800 date. How does the reverse look?

Congrats on the wonderful finds! :clapping:

Wow Drew. Killer first hunt!! Great finds!!
Now that I think about the wheats were my first hunt  This was my first GOOD hunt lol Thanks, Don...I guess you guys are getting snow now...sorry!

Great finds! I love the DB large cent best though! Congrats and HH, Dave.
Thanks, Dave...Drapes mostly come out dateless so I'm happy. Oddly, I find more drapes than Barber quarters. So many more Barbers were minted than drapes. I hope your work over there is going as well as your detecting!

Thanks, Calabash! I found it all with the 6in Nox coil. The Nox is an enigma to me. The VDI is never stable like it was on my T2. But how do you complain when you're hitting 8in coppers in trash with a 6in coil!

Very nice Drew, great looking coins!
Thanks you! You must be getting that snow too, Chris...:girlcry:

Great looking coins. Too cool that you found 1800 and 1900!
That's what struck me...after I got in the car and could see the 1800 date after rubbing it with the condensation from my ice coffee cup  Thanks, Badgers!

Here's the reverse, Tony. Still some dirt and a hard layer of crust over some of it. Cleaning coins doesn't interest me. I just run 'em under water and that's that. I'll PM you with the site info as I'd like to tell the story but it's kinda long-winded. Thanks!!:)

Good work there Drew! So are you back in the woods or still in the parks ??? You got a confusing mix of finds there.

 Jeff...The wheats were from a park...the rest from a later cellar hole...probably gave up the ghost in the early depression. Thanks!
