So my dad went hiking today on a modern trail and brought me along, I also brought my detector just in case. After finding out it was a junkyard in the 20s and 30s I had no hope of finding anything good.
That was until I got my first signal which was a solid 83, 84 reading 4" on my machine, I dug down three inches and to my surprise I see a copper in the bottom of the hole!
Turns out to be a 1816 Matron Head Large Cent which is the first year of the Matrons, I didn't find anything else this hunt.
