1838 anti slave token found

got an invite to detect an old farmhouse with pokie yesterday. of course i accepted. not much in the way of coins, a few 7/16 round lead balls, dug something i thought might have been a large cent. turns out to be a 1838 anti slavery token. thanks for the invitation dennis, mark.

thanks del, that is exactly how it looks, mine is darker probably from being in the ground so long. the N in united is weird too, i guess the engraver did this on purpose for some reason.

I saw Mark's token yesterday and it is in very nice condition. It could have been in the ground over 170 years. mg: That is amazing to me! Congratulations again Mark on a great find.
