1853 Seated Half Dime

Went park hunting with Joe today and found two keepers. :happydance01: 1853 silver and a 1920 Wheat Cent.

As you can see from the picture, the Half Dime was very shallow. Right in the roots of the grass, not more than 2-3 inches deep.

It's been eight years since I've found one of these tiny silver coins and it was sure nice to see one come up again.

She's such beauty Ron. When I glanced across the park and noticed you looking at me waving the thumbs up... I knew I had to go grab my camera from the vehicle.

It's really hard to believe how shallow it was. After the first couple of oldies came up at very shallow depths, and you said it was time to start digging everything... you were absolutely right! thumbsup01
Congrats!!

Beauty of a coin |:cheering:. Thats one of the better looking half dimes I have seen on the forum in a while. Congrats.

Congrats

It's always fun to think about who lost that coin, and when. It was just sitting there all of these years, waiting to be found, and then BAM, you dig it up. Very cool! Congrats! :beerbuddy:
