1870s houses give up a 1917 type 1 SLQ and more

Thursday, I stopped after work and hit one house for about 45 minutes. I dug a 1945 Merc and what I think is a candle snuffer.

Saturday, I met up with my friend Tim (Noah). The first house we hit I got on board with a 1944 Merc, a 1936 Buff and a couple of wheats. We then hit a house across the street. Tim got himself a nice 3 silver spill (2 mercs & a rosie) and I dug a toasty 1911 V nickel. The last house we hit before calling it a day, I dug a pretty deep 12-46/47. It ended up being a 1917 SLQ Type 1. Pretty cool! I also dug a 1943 Merc and 13 wheats.

Another terrific hunt for you, Don! That Type I SLQ is incredible! They are a rare find, in fact I don't recall ever seeing a Type I on this forum before. It's a beauty!
