I asked my wife what she wanted to do today and she replied, I'm not getting off this couch. lol
So I quickly decided to head out for some metal detecting. What better way to celebrate our nation's independence? thumbsup01
I went back to the old school grounds that I hunted back on June 1. Such a beautiful day today! Sunny with a high of 80 degrees and not too humid. This old school site is a wonderful place to detect because there is not a lot of junk. The cornerstone from the old school is now in the base of the :usaflag
ole.

Here are my total finds for the day:

The more interesting relics and junk items:

My first good find of the day was this 1948 Quarter that is holed and still has the chain attached. I think other detectorists may have missed it because the chain messed up the signal, however the E-Trac gave me enough of a hint of silver that I had to dig.

Today's keepers:

One of the Indian Heads was really worn so I was hoping that it was an older one. However, as best I can tell it is an 1885. What do you think?

This store token was pitted but I cleaned it up as best as I could:

At first I thought this was a foreign coin but it is a play coin. It is tiny, about the size of a trime:

Thanks for looking and Happy 4th of July, everyone! :beerbuddy:
