IMG_0967.jpgIMG_0968.jpgI was on my way home from golf today and stopped at a tiny park in the middle of town I've gone by hundreds of times, every time saying to myself there's no way anything good is left there. Wrong again. Found my first ever Merry Widows tin, a neat pin, a 1939 Washington and a buck and a half in clad.

Very cool finds! The tin is quite old, and it's always great to see silver in the hole. But I really like that pin! It translates to "Touch Me Not" , and the pin is the crest of the US army Second Infantry Regiment as of 1921.

It's cliche I know, but as we say, a site is never truly hunted out! Nice early Washington. Congrats sir!
