2-Cent Piece + Merc

Today I had a chance to get in some detecting for a few hours, but where to go? :thinkingabout: A small park in Connecticut had to do. The place was a target desert though, where even trash appears to have been vacuumed out. :shocked01: But I did manage to scrounge some keepers. :happydance01:

This is my eight 2-Cent piece this year, and my 15th since last year. :peace:

I picked up one silver as well. The 'coin' next to the mercury dime has no detail. I have no idea what it may be.

There have been quite a few 2-Center posted this year. They will soon go into hiding again. lol The musket balls sure do sound good when deep, and at old sites they make one think an old coin is waiting to be dug. lol

Eight 2 centers so far this year, you are a magnet. Congrats on getting your itch out of the way, but I don't think you can wait till Saturday.

Angel.... nice finds! Sounds like you had a great day out. Hope you can wait until Saturday!

Great bunch of keepers Angel. :clapping: Silver and a Merc would definitely have me happy dancing all over the place.
You have a very nice handful of 2 Centers. 15 since last year is outstanding.
Congrats.

Yes, this is correct. The 2 Cent mating season typically runs from mid May through the end of July. As with any species they do become
somewhat more vulnerable to predators during this time.

rofl

I will have to change my hunting strategy then. lol

Awesome Angel!!! I agree, there has been quite a few 2centers pop up in the last few weeks... Everywhere except my holes that is! I'm still waiting on my first one...

There are three positives in life, paying taxes, dying, and Angel finding old coins wherever he goes. :clapping:

One thing is for certain....take the E-Trac out of his hands and he will go through withdrawal. :barf:

Great finds Angel |)

That 2 Center hasn't found it's way to my hunting pouch yet this year...still a few more months of the season

He will not survive lol

Nice looking two cent piece and another large motto :hairpulling: lol It cleaned up really well considering the uncleaned picture of it :shocked04: I wonder if that other coin is an old shield or V nickel? Come on Saturday :daydream:

You and me both brother! :-\ :crying02:
:shocked04: I'd say that was a time well spent  It might be years before I ever find a 2 center 8/
Another great hunt Angel! |)
Congrats
Mt guess is the mystery coin is (going on color and size) a nickle of some sort .
Knowing you..... :thinkingabout:...probably a shield. lol
