2 coins with coke...and yess 1 off them is silverrrrr.

The where renewing the sewer in a village near by.
The road was open for some 20 meters.
So i give it ago.
A lot off people where watching.
Hahaha don't care.
Found 2 coins unreadeble.
At home did take a good look at them.
To my surprise one off them is a silver.
Haha in the electrolyse and there he is.
Whe call this a 2 stuiverstuk provence Overijssel 1600.
A good cold day.

That silver cleaned up real nice. You should of charged an admission fee for all the people who were watching you...:lol:. Thanks for posting

Some of those construction areas can pay off with treasures that have been locked-up underneath concrete or black top for decades (here :envious: ) or in your case centuries! :shocked05:
Great job cleaning it up! I'd probably have a heart attack if I found a coin from the 1600's! :stretcher:

Yes coins from 16/1700 is here verry common.
The dutch golden age.
but most off the time the are copper.
sometime's i get lucky and have a silver.
in my other topic i find with my detector buddy a silver treasure from 1600.
90 silver coins.
i have some coins from it.
the rest is for my buddy. Finder of the hoard.
