Not much detecting this week due to last night's party, but I got out today and a couple hours during the week. I was lucky enough to get my coil over another George Washington cuff button today....and at a different site! :shocked02: This one is a little worse for wear :)
Also, my first Columbian Exposition half dollar! :thumbsup01:
...and ANOTHER holed coin :shocked01:...I've found soooo many of late.
The indians are 1876,1880,and a holed 1902.
Wheat is 1929. The garter or suspender clip also has a date of 1890. The gravestone is near one of my sites.
The party was fun... and WE HAVE A CONTEST GOING ON!! Check the contest area.

:shocked05:WOW !!!! Congratulations on some incredible finds .The GW cuff button and the Exposition coin are so awesome .It look's like Old George had Rock star status and good merchandising in his day .:perfect10:

WTG Drew on the 2nd GW! That stone is beautiful. Was this a family plot? I think I have that same watch winder, LOL!

Never seen that coin before that is so cool!

Congrats on the GW and Expo coin-thos are pretty awesome!

BTW, you CAN edit the title, just have to use the "advanced" editing menu.

Thanks George, Dan said these buttons were from the 100th anniversary of his birth in 1832. He was big even after he died, like Elvis:lol:
That cemetery looked a bit larger than a family yard Roger, 1/2 acre-ish, it has maybe 15 stones and even some field stones. Thanks!
Thanks for the tip and comments Chris, I edited out all the edits

Nice score Drew. Obviously the hole at 12 o'clock it was a made as a necklace. I wonder what was the significance for 1902 to the person who owned it. That cuff button is tiny. Wow. A Columbian half dollar?? WTH? And I thought the quarter I found was odd to be up this area...

for some reason those expo coins are always in very nice shape when their found , its a great find Drew . looks like now you have matching commemorative GW cuff buttons :happydance01:glad you got out and had a great party for the holiday , my friend .

Dan

Holy cow Drew!! :wow:
Those are some sweet finds!
The Columbian half is really nice!
A GW button! Now we're talking!:perfect10:
Congrats!

WTG on scoring a 2nd GW cuff. You don't see many Columbian exhibition 1/2 being dug....:congrats:. I would be tickled with either of those finds.

Thank you fellas! Dan, I was ecstatic when I saw that silver...for a split second I thought it was from the 1400s
I thought it was in crazy good shape and maybe worth some money, then I looked it up
I guess many people just bought the coin, didn't actually attend the fair. I guess they paid a dollar for it. I also read they were in actual circulation until the 1950s :shocked04:
