3 silver and a V nickel

Some plans changed so I did a little detecting before work. Ended up with my 1st War Nickel of the year, a couple of Mercs and a well used 1912 "V" nickel. Also hit on some older Wheats from the 20's and 30's. Keep swinging Wisconsin Digger

Definitely getting scarce, I got a permission on a farmhouse the other day and unfortunately there was only a small patch of unfilled dirt as the patch held 10 Wheaties and a Washington. If the whole yard would of been like that I would have really had a nice spot. I am trying a new spot tomorrow as I am on 7 days a week work and this is close by (1 hunt in the last 6 days). I'll be happy with one shiny coin. Good Luck Jeff, you seem to do pretty well on permissions. WD

I think it is a Wisconsin thing as a lot of Parks were started in the depression years. I found another 1 yesterday and am at 95 war nickels in 6 years. There are pretty common despite only 4 years of minting. Thx WD

6 days a week...Ewww! That's not much fun.
But a few old coins before punching in should help scratch the itch till quitin' time!
Specially if a few of them are silvers and a old nick for a kicker!:thumbsup02:
Congrats!
