5 Wheats and a Lady

Got out with Tim and Rob today. We had a great hunt and some of their finds are mindblowing. I managed 5 wheats 18, 37D,39, 42, 45 only after Rob and Time agreed to take me back to Rob's house where I had left my backup battery pack. The Lady I need some help on the age. It is a broach and I hope the pictures will be good enough to see the latch on the back. It has cleaned up really good, don't know wheather it is gold or gold plated. All in all a great day for everyone and can't wait for the next outing.

Thanks for reading

that way the portrait is of the lady i'd say looks pretty old Al , and i've seen alot of them bezel type brooches and parts at some of the cellar sites we detect . it has an early Victorian look about it and is a great find , to bad you can't find out who she was .

It was a blast. Im glad we get a day a week together to swing the dirt poles. My guess is 1890's on the Pin. I dont think you can give that back to the lady that lost it. lol lol

Happy Hunting Al!! See you soon.

Awesome finds aloldstuff! :clapping:
Great pile of wheats... but the broach is a very interesting piece. A fantastic addition to your collection.
Congrats.

As nice as your wheat spill was...I think Angel got you beat with his spill lol

That broach was a good find. I think Tim got your share of the silvers  lol

Next time you forget your backup...you get to watch us detect, no more driving two towns back lol

That brooch is very interesting! Is the image directly on the metal, or is there some kind of porcelain or something attached?

Nice find!

I'm pretty sure that it is directly on the metal, which really cleaned up well. The pictures that I posted of the back now looks brand new, all shiney gold

Nice brooch. I'm guessing late 1800's too. When was theater the thing to do? Someone that sells antique clothes may know how old that outfit is, along with the hairstyle. You wouldn't want to get that brooch and have it wearing last years styles would you? :dontknow: lol You three had a blast!!!
