#99 & #100 Silvers

Went MD'n a couple hours this morning, I had planned on going for the day, but when I got to the fairgrounds It was locked up. :crying02: I had forgotten they take Veterans day as a holiday there... so reluctantly I worked the outside area of the fairgrounds..

I primarily worked along the fence line where I have seen photos of people congregating ... got myself 6 wheaties, then right along the old sidewalk a 1951 Washington.. then I hit a deep, 10-12 signal, coming up FE 15-17 & CO 46-48, It sounded good, but when pinpointed it went quiet.. but off a little to side it would sound off.. I was reluctant to dig as I thought for sure it was iron.. Pulled the plug, and no signal at all... I dug down, sure enough, in my shovel laid a sweet 1905 barber quarter... number 100... :happydance01: eace:

Congrats on 100 :beerbuddy: NIce looking Quarter. Not a better way to spend part of the day than to detect on a day that was meant to honor those who fought for freedoms like that. Happy 100th and thank you to all veterans that help make this a free country.
