a copper day with Coinnut

You guys always seem to be able to sniff the shoe buckle chapes out of the ground. I love digging them as weird as that may sound since they are broken buckle pieces. rofl You had a well-rounded hunt, my Colonial friend. It is always nice to see the duo kicking some butt!

It is an original small US Oval. Made of stamped brass with lead fill in the back. The plow damaged the plate and cracked the lead.
Nice Find! I've always hoped to find a small one but that is still on my list.

Thank Roger for me Dave. thumbsup01 I didn't realize that they made them so small. Put a couple of coppers side by side with a bit of overlap and that is the size of the buckle :shocked04:
