We have had some unseasonably warm weather here in SE Wisconsin so I took advantage of it with a few short hunts. All three were at my go to spot, the old picnic grove. I found 3 Indians 1865, 1891 & 1895, 4 wheats 16, 18, 34 & 35. A couple silver plated spoons. A very cool watch fob. It is an early 1900’s Automobile & Bi-plane Race Commemorative Watch Fob. It’s about the size of a half dollar and made of copper which at one time had a silvertone coating. Here is a link to the info I found on it. I also included a photo of the nondug example.

The find of the hunts was my first gold of the year. It’s an old gold ring, 18K and 6.2 grams. I can’t remember ever starting a season with gold before silver. I hope that is a sign to come for the new year. Thanks for looking.
