Hello everyone
I found this American eagle. The area was a POW camp for prisoners of war. Is anyone able to help me what's the exact model of an eagle. Looks like a product of the nineteenth century. On the back cast. No signatures. Sorry for spelling mistakes.
In 09.15.1944 the camp there were two Americans, are likely to be buried in the grave in the cemetery of the garrison. During World War I certainly had been held by the French and English. Americans do not have any information. The eagle was found about 10 kilometers from the camp. At the camp, I found a small button signed RLMFG CO NEWARK. NJ
Hello Graud18 , welcome to the forum :waving:, can you post a picture of the reverse , i'd like to see if there are any attachments or brazed solder marks where it would attach to something.
Everything becomes slowly make sense. On the same field, I found the button Haller's Blue Army. As is well known Polish emigrants from the United States was 23,000 soldiers. Haller's Army took part in the peaceful liberation of the city on 01.23.1920 year.
Thank you for your help in identifying
