Another one!

I went back to the same school after work again tonight, and I'll be danged if I didn't find another Walking Liberty Half! Once again this one was about 6-7 deep and produced a solid signal on my E-trac. Obviously this school hasn't been hunted very thoroughly. I got another Merc too. Not as many wheats this time but I'm not complaining about that. :)

I suspect that I'll be heading back to this school again this weekend when I have more daylight. thumbsup01

Score!!! <: That's a nice looking hunt right there.
You have been doing very well at this school. It is awesome to have a place like this in your pocket and a Minelab in your hand. :->
I'd be settling in there of some major detecting. Have you been gridding yet or just slowly wandering? The best finds seem to start showing
up while gridding a section from multiple directions.
Congrats on another beautiful WLH. She's a beauty. :smitten:

A little of both. Actually there is one area that seems to have the greatest concentration of older coins. I have gridded that area in two directions. There is still a lot of area at this school I haven't covered yet though, and today's Walker was at a spot I hadn't detected previously.

It seems rather odd that I've found 7 silver dimes and 2 silver halves at this school so far, but no silver quarters yet. Oh well, still lots of ground to cover.

Oh man!! How sweet is that! happydance02  thumbsup01
Good huntin'!!
That a nice little school you've got yourself there!
Congrats !!

Great hunting. Congrats on another big silver. That school sounds like a hot spot for you. Plenty of turf left and I am sure more silvers are coming your way. Keep it up, you're tearing it up.

Wow, two silver halves at one site. Could be a massive honeyhole. Keep pounding til its dry, then pound it some more for good measure.

Great job! Those are some awesome finds!

What sensitivity are you running on your E-trac? If you're using autosensitivity, what number range does it generally settle at in your part of the country (for example, where I am, it can hang out in the 14-18 range, so pretty low).

Lately I have been running in Auto +3. The sensitivity usually settles at 19 at this particular school. I'm still a relatively new E-trac user (6 months) so I'm still experimenting and learning, but I like the stability that comes with auto sensitivity.

Time to change your name to Tony fiddy cents or Walking Tony . Awesome going on all your great finds lately Tony . :perfect10: thumbsup01

:groovy:

Awesome it's always great when you can pull one of those out of the ground wtg :perfect10: :beerbuddy: :beerbuddy:

Still getting my education!

Back to the school for 90 minutes after work tonight. Dang, it's getting dark too early these days. :-\

Once again, I came home with a lone Merc. There is definitely silver at this site, but it doesn't exactly fall from the sky, I have to work for it. As long as I come home with at least one silver coin each time, I'm a happy camper. thumbsup01

This makes silver number 10 from this school; 6 Mercs, 2 Rosies, and 2 Walkers.

:shocked04: Still more of the good stuff coming from the school. <:
You are definitely right about the daylight. We're losing several minutes of sun each day. crying01
Very nice coins you are getting lately. Keep at it and go for two silvers on the next hunt. thumbsup01
