Back To The Old Virgin Site

Got out for a few hrs today to my old virgin site as the soil is really damp allowing me to dig deeper.

Was able to nab a few more goodies.
Dug this knee buckle which was 7-8" deep down in the bayberry

Dug an IH (1863) which is the 1st coin from the 1800's I've dug here today, as everything else is 1700's.

Man, I wish I had a site like that to hunt! Wonderful finds! That button with the gilt is beautiful. The knee buckle is very cool as well, as is the fatty Indian Head.

Good job! :clapping:

To many good finds...:thumbsup02:. You mentioned that the IH was the 1st 1800's coin while all the rest have been 1700's. I was doing this field long ago and I had gotten about 8 or so seated dimes. Got a dime signal, naturally thought another seated, nope ROSIE....ugh

What a great site, and congrats on more nice relics! I've never found a complete colonial shoe buckle as of yet. The little gold gilted button is a beauty.
