Hey everybody! :groovy:
Well I don't mean to hold out on ya. But it's been a hectic past couple of weeks around here.
Now the cold and snow has finally come in and shut down detecting for a little while. :frozen:
But before the deep freeze moved in I was able to make it out a few times thumbsup01
I hit a couple local parks and found some clad a few wheats. (Not shown lol)
I also hunted some private property with much better results  thumbsup01
January 7th:
The first oldies of 2012!! <:
1902 IH, 1895V nickle, and 1919 wheatie!
Having a good day on the 7th I went back the following day....
January 8th:
Not long into the hunt I see my first silver edge of the new year!! :shocked04: :happydance01: Which turned out to be a 1906 Barber dime
Later on while hunting in the cornfield I got a nickle signal. I dug the hole and when I flipped the dirt over I seen this....
Here you can see where the coin was sitting in the dirt. Which turned out to be the greenest 1901 V nickle I've ever seen :envious:
I ended the day with 6 oldies!!
1901 V nickle, 1920 Buff, 1906 Barber dime, 1919 Merc, and two 1899 IH's!!
2012 is starting pretty good!!
Now if we can just get the ground to soften up a little. So I can get back out there and hopefully add a few more oldies to the 2012 totals!
Thanks for lookin' & HH everyone!!
