This past week me and DaddyDigger took our annual road trip to Ohio. By last Sunday afternoon we were hunting a couple of old parks in the Dayton area. On Monday we met up with Bell-Two for some more park hunting. Thank you for your warm hospitality, Tony! We sure appreciate you showing us some places to hunt. It is always a pleasure detecting with you.
I'm almost embarrassed to show my finds after the week DaddyDigger had, but I am still happy with my results.
Here are all of my coin finds for the week:
9 Indian Heads
22 Wheat Cents
42 Memorial Cents
25 Zincolns
2 Shield Nickels
40 Jefferson Nickels
4 Mercury Dimes
1 Rosie
18 Clad Dimes
1 Silver Washington
22 Clad Quarters
1 Kennedy Half (1971)

It was enjoyable finding some older Indian Head Cents. I ended up with Indians dated 1868, 1869, 1876, 1879, 1880, 1885, 1885, 1889, 1893

I got two Shield Nickels: 1867 and 1868

Nothing too exciting in the silver department, but I was happy to get them.

All of the keepers after a light cleaning:

Silver ring that I found in a ditch on our last day of detecting. It is a Sterling Espo ring:

Union Pacific token dated 1934:

I found this metal ID plate on our first day in the first park we hunted. The full name and address is legible: William Melson, 148 Hanover St., Dayton Ohio

Some of the other miscellaneous relics:

And just in case you think everything we dig is something good, here's a week's worth of junk:

Thanks again to Bell-Two for his kindness and to DaddyDigger for the fun week of metal detecting.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting! :beerbuddy:
