Buckle age help?

Dan and Dave...and other relic hunters...I need some help identifying and dating this buckle I found.

I found it earlier this year, in a park that boarders a river, in a town that dates to the late 1600's. I have not found any other early artifacts there earlier than early 20th cent.

I am guessing early 1700's:huh::huh: :dontknow:

hey Rob what the back look like and does it feel pretty heavy duty or very light and fragile??

I'll get a back photo tomorrow, but it is fairly light, It's sturdy, but a bit fragile
