Buckle, Ammunition

Hey, anyone know if this buckle is from the 1700s? I found it amongst other 1700s items at a cabin site and wasn't sure if it was that old. Also, what are those lead things, a round musket ball with a pin and a conical one. Thanks!

Drew, it's a machine-made buckle, I think most folks date those after 1800. I'm not sure how much later though. Del might know when machine-made buckles popped onto the scene in the NE USA.
