I don't normally post my clad findings but yesterday I was wandering around until I came to a new site. Both new to me and relatively new in time of existence. It was big and I really wasn't expecting to find too much because I figured every detectorist must stop here. It wasn't long before I was laughing to myself as I couldn't swing the detector without getting a hit. Sadly it was all clad except for one slightly bent silver ring but the numbers made it fun. These are the results for yesterday and today morning only hunts (and yesterday's was short because I didn't get there until about 9:30 AM. The first three lines are yesterday's results and the rest is from this morning.
Total: 71 quarters, 50 dimes, 1 lonely nickel and 41 pennies (and not one wheat amongst them).
163 coins for a total of $23.21
My son Matt (Z118) would have a grand time at this site.
I'm willing to bet that people who have been detecting for a while probably had hunts like this and it was all silver. :daydream:
Thanks for looking.
