Drove to a tot lot about 20 miles away to check out a hunch that I had about a elementary school. Didn't find much at first but then moved around to the back to find that the play area was somewhat hidden. The jungle jim / swings set area was large and filled with pea gravel. I found about 40 coins in there alone. I don't think anyone has search that school in a long time. There were coins everywhere, I even found some right on top of the ground after I swung over them.
The total for the day was 16 quarters, 14 nickels, 36 dimes, and 82 pennies, another ring and a small heart pendant. 148 coins !! $9.12 total clad. <:
The oldest coins were 2 1965 dimes.

Welcome to the forum, that was a nice take on the clad, most of the lots with pea gravel here don't seem to produce much, you did great, congrats on the ring :beerbuddy:

What a nice haul :clapping: The fact that the area was behind the building a bit may have helped you. That should be one place to stop by often. :happydance01:

Im with Dave on this one, pea gravel sites around here are pretty dry too, well done on the ring and clad :clapping: :clapping:

Boy, you weren't kidding... you really cleaned up there. :peace:

There's gotta be some additional goodies hiding there.

Congrats on a great hunt Neil. :clapping:

Nice Finds! I have found about 50 cents total in the last 8 tot lots I went to. Maybe someone is beating me to it, since I can only detect after work.
