Cornfield silver - a first for me, half dime

Well, it has been some time since I last posted on here... not so much that I haven't been out digging holes, but mostly because nothing too interesting to post. One can only post so many toasted large Cents and Colonial coppers that don't have any detail at all..
But today I found a first for me, 1872 Seated Half Dime, a few days ago I also found a silver woman's pin. Looking forward getting back to the cornfields as the farmer has started harvesting last week.

That looks just likes many fields I hunt! Challenging with the minerals but worth it! Do they actually plow the fields? Most our fields don't get plowed. I only know two corn fields that get plowed and no hay fields. Congrats on the bucketlister!! :clapping:

Congrats on the Seated! One of the things I love about this hobby is you never know on any given day what you may find.

Congrats on a very nice set of finds! Indeed, with hunting season upon us, it's time to get out of the woods and onto the cut fields. Just drove by one of my permissions earlier this week and was pleased to see the corn cut.

John, it is indeed a great sight, I'm waiting on them to harvest across the road as that field is closer to the farm house that was built in 1793, hoping that field will have some nice things to find :)

Congrats on the sweet Half Dime, Scott! They are tiny coins. How awesome it is to find silver that old!

The silver pin is very cool also!

:congrats:
