December 4th woods hunt

I went to a woods (it's actually considered a park but just trails alongside of my old junior high) and had a decent hunt. I think that the trumpet mouthpiece might be solid silver but can't say for sure, it sure did come out of the ground nice and shiny. The flashlight was an eyeball find and it works fantastic (batteries and all), it's pretty much watertight because of the rubber seals.

The lighter is in really great shape except the cam spring is broke, the least bit of rust on these springs they'll break, the lighter is a 1997 and I think that I'm going to send this one into zippo cause it's in such good shape.

That trumpet mouthpiece is a wonderful find! It looks old, and like you I also wonder if it is solid silver. Very ornate designs on it.

Congrats on the finds!

All kinds of goodies there :smitten:From the pictures that mouth piece does look like silver. It has that nice color to it. I hope it is. The ship piece is kinda neat too.

Very cool. I would have hated to have been that kid explaining to his parents that he lost the mouthpiece to his trumpet. Something that ornate though, might have belonged to a professional horn player.

some very nice items you found Larry , love the mouthpiece and ring :smitten:

Looks like some smokers were out there un them woods... Heavymetalnut must of been detecting over there:thinkingabout:

Well I peeled some silver off with a knife on the mouthpiece and its just plated, it's a really heavy plating though cause I had to hog quite a bit off before I hit yellow metal which I'm sure is brass.
