Farm finds

Mike and I got out on Saturday and ended up spending some time knocking on doors and setting up future hunts. We did stop at a new field towards the end of the day and spent about 30 minutes scouting it out. In that short time I got 5 buttons and a musket ball. :thumbsup01: It was getting late so we decided to leave and come back on Sunday and find all the treasure that this field had to offer! :thumbsup02: Got there bright and early on Sunday morning, headed into the field and walked and walked.... NOTHING. Not a peep! I thought the machine was broken. After about an hour of silence I dug an 5" deep Lincoln.... I wont give up on this place yet because its huge. Lots more land to check out. I was a lot of fun digging without the sledge hammer and chisel :grin:

Still all good finds you got there. A musket ball is better than the set of keys I found. Hmm.. now that I am reminded of that I am surprised no one commented saying my keys fell out of my pocket without me realizing and I found them with my MD...passing it off as a find "hey, what are these keys doing here? They look an awful lot like mine". Maybe cuz they were rusted no one could literally use the joke.

However, George.. You could amp him up saying there is silver there (like the two spanish silver found this past weekend). Feed him hope. Hahah.

That's the thing about fields...sometimes, you find great stuff, go back, NOTHING...then go back again and find great stuff...then NOTHING...Great stuff..etc....

An hour of silence! Not sure I have ever gone even half that long without at least some piece of iron or junk growling at me. I suspect you will find a hot spot in that field. Good luck!
