Nice Calabash! The large round item looks like it attached to leather in some capacity. Maybe a rosette?

I was thinking rosette too. It doesn't have the normal backing but maybe a heavy duty rosette.

Its leather decoration , could be a decoration on a martingale or saddle bag weight .

I think it is a gigantic large cent want-a-bee. Cool stuff Calabash. Like the videos you had on You Tube finding these and other items.
