Field Hunt after work

Well I had a few hours to kill so I went to a spot that has produced some cool things before. Got to the field around 1030am and left around 1230, I saw the field and knew I was in for a headache...The grass was like 16 inches and wet. Not easy swinging at all. I did manage to pull out an Indian head (1896) , a large cent (1841), 4 small buttons with various backmarks, and maybe a suspender buckle with a date ...1836?? Weird.... Its going to be a great spot to hunt when the hayfield is cut SHORTER!! I will make sure to get AL and Rob over there when hunting is easier. I guess It was a good hunt. Thanks for looking and as always, Happy Hunting!!

You did great despite the tall grass. :perfect10: That is a nice selection of old coins and buttons. :clapping: I bet that there will be more once the grass is cut.

Nice hunt :clapping: At least you know that field is old thumbsup01 Now Rob and Al won't be able to sleep tonight lol

Great haul and that is a wonderful looking LC. We don't have them much in my area, but I do have a spot like the one that you hunted. I have to wait for the cold to chase all the snakes >:( out of it before it can be hunted though.

Yes... I would definitely say that is a good hunt. Any hunt that ends with a LC in your pocket is fantastic in my book.
Add some nice buttons and an IH and I would be :happydance01: 'ing all the way back to the truck.

Just think how nice it will be when you can get your coil right next to the ground. :->

Congrats MDF.
