So the corn and hay are now being cut in earnest here so it's the time of year to start widening the targets of opportunity in places other than the deep woods. Hit some old fields with a good friend yesterday (Sunday), but on his side (NY) of the Champlain Valley. Lots of history at this site and it came through for me in nice fashion via an 1834 Matron Head LC. Curious in that it was my first diggable (sp.?) target only about 10 minutes after I started and ironically in the first corn row. Weird. I also dug plenty of flat buttons, most of which are common fare. Did like the floral-patterned cuff button though. There are shards of old hand made glass and pottery literally everywhere at this site, and strewn hundreds of yards in all directions. Old pottery/porcelain enthusiasts would be in heaven here. Thanks for looking and HH!
