:shocked03::loveit:very outstanding relics and coins Luke , did you get them all this year ??

Way to go on all those beautiful finds Luke. :smitten: that campaign button in the display is bad-ass ! Give me a ring later! :) HH

Excellent assortment of old coins! The flying eagles are the best looking I have seen dug. LOTS of eagle buttons too. You have some good sites that's for sure. Congrats and HH, Dave.

Thanks! Yes, the half reale, harrison button, copper (my dad actually got that), the pistol round and the tombacs were from last week and everything else came from one weekend of hunting in mid October. :thumbsup01: It's always nice to find stuff that's really old! HH!

Great finds and the display is one of the best I have seen. Your sites are killer when you can get reales 2 cents, FE's (2), civil war items and jewelry. Isaac posts up some crazy finds so if you two get together for a hunt, I'll be looking for that post. :congrats:on all those keepers

Thanks! It's great when the soil is kind to coins, the flying eagles came out of the woods so the soil must be good there! HH!

The wooded areas kinda help a bit with keeping finds in better shape. The canopy of leaves mean that finds don't really sink that far into the ground. Just like a few wheats and one weird memorial I found this summer. They happened to be in grassy areas like a park or school, but they were under big trees. There wasn't a covering of leaves on the ground like I am talking about, but the canopy of the trees themselves limiting rainwater getting to the ground helped keep them in better condition.

Thank you! Isaac and I will get together at some point, we're only 3 hours apart. HH!

That makes sense! A few finds were deep like the reale, but most of the buttons were under 4 inches deep. Thanks and HH!
