Goal Met! Great 2 hour hunt!

Went back to the park I have been hitting lately with hopes of reaching my goal of 30 silver coins for the year. The first good target I dug was the 1941 Washington and 1914 Wheat in the same hole at about 5 . I was thinking I really need to find one more silver and worked my way around the area and pulled three more Wheats all in the 40's. Also found the Girl Scout pin in that area. Decided to try another area and on my way over there I had a really nice 12-46 signal at around 8. Dug down and was really hoping it was silver number 30. After scooping out the soil I swung my coil over the pile and got that sweet sound. At that point I knew it was silver! Used my probe and found the 1942 Merc staring back at me! I did it! Worked that area hard and pulled several old Jefferson nickels and the 1919 Buff to round out the day.

Great job Steve at reaching your Goal.. I'm sitting at 29 for the year and with my E-Trac waiting at the Post Office for me to pick it up tomorrow, I'm hoping at #30 too.. That's a great day you had and nice pics.. Nice Buffalo pickup..

Congrats!! Don't you love how the E-trac sings out with silver? I love hearing that tone when swinging, then digging and hearing an even more beautiful silver tone when I put the X-1 probe in the hole.

That is an excellent hunt for two hours :shocked04:stretcher: You guys are making me feel very inefficient lol

Man I would love to find a 100 silver coins in a year but I am really hoping for 50 next year especially now that I have my Etrac. I have found 22 of the 30 silver this year with it and if I keep that pace next year I should hit 50 hopefully!
