Good Friday Silver

Spring has arrived, today was 55 degrees and sunny! Met up with Mike aka Silverstar at an old park that I have been wanting to dig all winter, the old school is gone but there is 3 baseball fields and 2 soccer fields worth of space to explore.Found silver #2,&#3 of the year for me, 1940D Merc and 1945D Merc. 8 wheat pennies, some have heavy green corrosion. Foreign coin find of the day was a '73 Cinco centavos from Mexico. Also found a Wm Hale Thomspon Athletic league medallion, not sure if it refers to the mayor of Chicago from the 20's and 30's.http://www.eastlandmemorial.org/thompson.shtml.
Police showed up halfway through the hunt but walked right past us and wrote a ticket to the dog walker whose dog was off leash in the park playing frisbee catch. |:cheering:

Congrats on the Mercs, Rob! That old medal is very cool too, it looks old.

That is funny about the cops walking right past you guys and writing a ticket to the dog owner. That is a pet peeve of mine, dogs running loose. I had one try to run off with my target probe in its mouth one time until the dog's owner yelled at it.

Nice silver! Loose dogs sure are annoying... especially when they run at me yapping and jumping while the owners tell me how harmless they are. >:#
