This might have been covered somewhere already, but i thought I'd ask since everyone here seems so knowledgeable. Are there any good reference books, videos or other things of the sort that would be good for a new person like I am that would give the rating and rarity of the things found?

You bettcha! There are tons. Red Book for coins. You will find a lot of online referances on anything you can think of. Relics, buttons, tokens, etc. Just type it in and you'll find it. There are a lot of referances listed here on our forum. Go to Relic Finds. And of course we have our own experts. Something that you are unsure of what it is can be posted in the What is it forum. Someone will likely know. Hope this helps some. There are many here way more knowledgeble than I.
