Well snows coming down and I hadn't used my 6" coil on my nox yet, so I decided I better give it a try before I put all my machines away for winter, and the snow gets deep, with about 4" of snow on the ground I hit my favorite cellar hole and came up with some sq nails and a few pieces of pottery, wife wanted gold or coins:crossfingers: I got a bit wet and dirt and cold, but still had fun

Sometimes the ground conditions will make them sound so good but usually they only sound decent in one direction , turn 90 degrees on it and they break up , or grunt sound like their true form .

Hope you're not done for the year Iceman .

Dan

We got an inch last night, I love detecting in a cold inch of snow, where you can see where you've been but it doesn't stick to the coil. Keep hitting that cellar.

Yep on the 90 deg Mr. Del, I do it on all hits, I dig all iffy hits, ya never know. I had an Tesoro Eldorado years ago, still have it, but my son uses it now, all sq nails would sound like they were a silver coin or a non ferrous target in both directions. Hope to get out some more, but winter is here, got to face it.

Been hitting that cellar hole since the early 80s Drew, it still keeps giving up relics and coins. I hit for years with my Tesoro Eldorado, then my MXT, now I'm working it with the Nox, now this oleman is trying to learn what the Nox is telling me.

We are having 50 degrees next week in WI, so I will send it your way Iceman. When I find a few square nails in WI, I get excited. Don't mind picking a few of those out of the ground. Next time have the wife tell you she wants square nails and see what happens then!!!!
