Great Weekend Hunt

Steve and I got out this Saturday and Sunday for 2 morning hunts. Been a while since we did some serious detecting with work keeping us busy. Got permission to detect 3 sites, on an old tavern site and the two other being colonial houses. Just went up and knocked on the door and the home owners said have fun! Found some nice silver: 1882 Seated :peace: and a 1944 Merc and a button that i'm trying to identify. Happy hunting all :beerbuddy:

the weather has finally been inviting to detecting huh mike  congrats on your finds , the seated is a very nice example with great detail and the button is a great seal type that started in 1902 . the U.S. Army still uses that design to this day . |:cheering:

Congrats on the terrific hunt and the awesome seated dime, Mike! It's in great shape! :loveit:

The owner said have fun and you did! thumbsup01

:congrats:

Wow, some nice finds :loveit: Love the detail on the seated. That sounds like a really fun hunt. Anytime you can do a tavern site is a real adrenaline boost  I wanna hunt some colonials and a tavern site :girlcry: lol

Love that Seated dime!!! :perfect10: :clapping: :peace: It really was a blast getting out again. I almost forgot what a pulltab looked like... Mike, with all these new private property sites and the other secret spots, I think we're set for a couple of years worth of hunting. Super finds buddy! :perfect10:

Wow, I wish it was that easy getting permission all the time. I agree with you all . That's definitely a nice Seated Dime, better than a lot that are non-dug.
I bet that nice Button will clean up really nice also. I can almost see a back mark. I bet a little soap and water will do the trick. I'm sure there's some more goodies there still :crossfingers: .
:congrats:

:shocked03:..seems everyone's getting seated!.....where's mine :girlcry:

Congrats on some great finds :clapping:

:congrats: on a beautiful seated coin and :congrats: on getting permission to detect the yards. It doesn't seem to be that easy in my neck of the woods :thinkingabout:

I'll also echo RobW's statement ...

Very nice finds.
The sites you were allowed to hunt are just as valuable.
Nice work. :congrats:

Nice finds. You didn't mention the bell though. To me that would have been the find of the day.

Try as I might I can't seem to find one. Huge congrats.
