hello CTMinMA , Springfield Ma. , huh unfortunely your in a rough area as im afraid Angel has almost single handedly depleted all the silver in the nearby parks and now he's working on the Connecticut ones. lol lol ;) seriously though welcome to the forum , theres a few people in your area and i'm just south of you in Enfield,Ct. . you'll get some great info from a good bunch of people

Welcome aboard. Glad you found us. What type of hunting are you looking to do and what are you swinging? Have a look at what people have found, read some old posts, and make yourself at home. :yes:

My wife bought me an ACE 150 to get me started. I think I would like to focus on coins and relics and maybe a little bit of beach hunting when on vacation, but I really just like to find stuff whatever it is and get out and enjoy the outdoors. Once I get more proficient and save up enough money I am going to upgrade to another detector, and when that time comes I will be looking for advice from everyone.

Hi plenty of stuff in the ground here in MA. i'm am livin in a tent at the former S.Weymouth Naval A IR Base.best of luck.Jim
