Hmmmm...Should I change my name to Daddy Two-Cent??

Hey diggers,

I had about an hour today so I headed up the road to a bean field I recently received permission for. On the 1892 atlas there is a house there but it is gone by 1936. I thought it might be a civil-war era house. I walked the field for about 10 minutes looking for the tell-tale signs and soon enough I started seeing bits of broken glass and pottery. Then I saw some bricks. I started swinging in a loose grid pattern and after about 15 minutes got a solid 10-38 signal at about 3 inches. I was surprised to see a bent coin come up! I knew right away by the size it was a 2-cent. Turned out to be 1865! Sure it's been plow-struck and heavily corroded with caustic fertilizers, but hey it's beautiful to me! I'll go back again tomorrow morning and see if I can find some silver! Thanks for looking and HH, Dave.

Nice find, Dave! <:

I've seen worse looking two-cent pieces! At least you can still read the date very clearly.

Congrats on the neat find! :congrats:

I would like to act as mediator in this ongoing name battle. Dave, nice recovery on the 2 center, hope you can score some silver when you go back.
