I finally got one

I was able to get a few hours this morning before a busy afternoon schedule. I debated not going at one point, but I am sure glad I followed my instinct.
Tried a new spot. I've had my eye on this place since last year and finally got in there this morning. :happydance01:

Dug an IH and a couple of Rosie's before I came across a deep broken, but repeatable signal. Figured there was a shot it could be silver so I went after it. Dug a large plug and had to pull out two scoops of dirt before my PP finally recognized something. I'm guessing it was pretty close to 10.

There she was... my first LC! <: :smitten: She's rough, but I can see 1835 on her.

Not sure why I have been getting so lucky lately. I hope I'm not using up all my luck in the first 3 weeks of the season.

Picked up a few nice buttons too.

Yeah. I always thought if I was lucky enough to find a LC, the Iowa soil would be very kind to it. All the IH's come out in great shape. Oh well. Hopefully the next one will be better.
