I set the alarm at 3:30am and was out the door by 4:00am. I arrived at the happy hunting grounds at 7:30am and about fell out of the car to get a hunting!! The location is a bean feild (this year it's beans) that used to have a fair on it for about 6 to 8 years if I remember correctly, the best part is the fair ended before the war between the gray and the blue started. Sweet....
5 swings into the field, on the way to where I decieded to start weeks ago I got a iffy signal, a darn ghost signial. Another 5 to 10 swings I got another faint but better signial and dug again just to lose the signial, filled in the hole and checked again. The silly hit flipped out of the hole when I dug, my first ever BUST silver. .
5 hours later with a nice 42 reading I got the 1853 O dime and only 20 feet further down my grid pattern a 41 reading for the 1853 O half dime. What a day!!!
Also got a toasted Indian and a toasted wheat where a ball field was in the 50's. On the way home the first town I travied thru had a back hole at the park so I spent a 1/2 hour on a small sided walk rip up to find 2 wheats and 2 semi toasted Indians. What a great day!!
