Over the winter I was able to get permission to hunt a turn of the centery home , so today I went there.
Still in my first week of my second season, today I was able to find my first piece of silver for 2010. thumbsup01 A 1957d quarter, my first IH a 1898,and first Buff of the new year!!!!The buffs a 1930.
That made me happy !!! I spent about 5 hours there. I also found my share of trash...the pics only show about half of it.
I did alright in the clad department too.
I also found Kit...you know...from Knight Rider and a Porche.
Thanks for lookin'
HH

Very nice. That buffalo nickel has a good raised date. thumbsup01 Congrats on the silver and the old Indian Head cent too!

hey Tim congrats on your firsts for the year and hope there many more to come

Nice day out!! Great hunt and it looks like you got some nice keepers. I love the Buffalo. I don't find many with dates and I don't think I ever found a 1930. It was the Great Depression days after all. I hope you can get a chance and go back.

Looks like some nice stuff there! I don't find many Buffs, I think I've only got 2 or 3 since I started doing this. Congrats!

Very nice, very nice indeed. Buffs are sure hard to come across, at least for me they are. I have only found one and it had no date. :crying02: You had a great hunt there. Congrats.

I think we touched on this before, but just for all you folks that do find Buffalos without a date, there is a product that let's you view the date on them. It's a mild acid that works the compressed areas (compression lines) and shows you the date. Really lol I think it's called nic-a-date. You can get it at almost any coin shop and by mail. I used to soak the whole front of it and watch the Indian and date come to life. lol It will get rid of any red or green on the coin, but it leaves it a dull, matt finish grey :( It is nice to put a date to the undatable ones though. But wear gloves, since it's a diluted acid.
