I Love & Hate This Park!

Since we recently got some decent rain and the nights are getting cooler, the parks are huntable again! I went to an old and very trashy park yesterday for a short hunt. I worked a very small area about 4 x 8 feet between two old trees and got this trash and a nice 1882IH at about 7 inches.

I love the chance of finding an oldie at this park, but I just hate the crazy amount of trash.

Nice looking Indian Head, and at least it's an older one.

You're doing a good job cleaning the junk out of the park too. thumbsup01

Good score on that Indian. Nice color and Liberty still visible thumbsup01 All parks are getting that way now. They are hangouts, and the bottlecaps and other trash are only going to get worse. When you clean out an area do you go right back and try all metal to see what targets are in the 8 and up range?? I would dig a few of those to see if I could pull some goodies out that are too deep for the disc to register.

Great advise from Coinnut. I have read to many posts about people who clean the trash then go back and find the goodies, which were masked by the trash. Very nice IH... :congrats:

yo M

Gud job youz and dink how much easier a dig will be there next time minus the trash you took out. Nice first nation head too! Keep the faith and keep on digging! <;)

Darren i don't think i've ever seen cleaner pulltabs in my life lol lol love the 82' indian

OK, I'm borderline OCD, and yes I actually save my pull tabs. I am trying to see how long it will take to fill a five gallon bucket......I know weird!

And I was thinking that I had dug up a lot of pull tabs and what nots. That is simply amazing.

At least you got a nice IH out of it. I usually end up with a clad dime if anything.

:congrats:
