Found my 2nd Copper Indian Spearhead today and it is a nice large one. Also managed a couple Mercs, 1 Buffalo and 4 Wheaties. Also found almost $10 in change. Don't think this spot was hunted in a while but it was definitely hunted in the past. Wisconsin Digger

That spear point is awesome WD!!
Congrats!! [emoji41]

I know Fire Fighter has mentioned it in the past but, what is the approximate time range for those copper culture artifacts?

I was looking for the web page that had all the copper spear points but have no located it yet. I am pretty sure they go back 4 digits (years) but not sure the exact time period. WD

I think they are 4000-1500 BC but who knows as I would think they could of made them at any time once they new how. This one is a little cruder then my last one but still a nice find. WD

Great find! It falls into a date range slightly earlier than the bronze age stuff I'm finding over here. Yours is hammered copper and a truly rare relic. Congrats and HH, Dave.

Awsome find Dave! The use of copper tools dates back as far as 4000 BC and around 1000 BC they used copper mainly for jewelry. So your find could be 3-6 thousand years old.
