is a Slanted 8 normal

I went searching a soccar field until my fingers were numb yesterday. It used to be a landfill, so I got nothing but landfill junk until this 1918 wheat penny! The eight is obviously slanted, like at a 20 degree angle at least! Is that normal:huh:

Can't see how slanted it is as your picture is kinda dark. But here's a picture of the one i have to compare it to.
