Jacksonian Sportsman Button ??

Got out this morning to my favorite field. Some corn has been cut and the field plowed. No coppers but a very nice cuff sportsman button. Has a man riding a horse and reverse has 6 stars around the shank.
Guessing around 1820 - 1850's.

Was pretty hot today, sweated real good so I only lasted 2 hours.

Thanks for reading and HH everyone.

Nice nab Al! Always love those button types. Got some hits online suggesting the Jacksonian era (1830s to mid 1840s or so). Search "Jacksonian button man on horse" and you'll see what I mean.

I did the search and I can see what you mean. Looking at my button it seems that there are two different metals at play here, what do you think??

Yeah I saw that too Al. The ones online are most certainly your design, but have raised edges while yours seems flat, perhaps due to wear (??). Perhaps they were an early 2 piece variety with a sheath around the outside, which has fallen off your button. Not sure. I think the two metal types is likely though.
