That picture is of Sopressata, or as most call it.....Soupy. I usually make at least 50 pounds a year in the Winter and we really like it.
I give 90% of the wine I make to family and friends. I like making my own wine because I/we do not care for dry wine and I can make it to our liking doing it this way. Also, although I do make grape wine, my favorites are fruit wine, with blackberry wine topping the list. :happydance01:
Love the basket weave on the gunstock!! We have something in common,,,,I'm a carver too,,,and a wine maker,,,,,,Although the 2 don't mix very well :stretcher: :stretcher: :stretcher: :stretcher: :stretcher: :stretcher:
Most of the wine I make is either from Welche's concentrates or fruit jam....people have no idea how good it is until they try it, and don't believe it after they do.
However, the concentrates or jams used, MUST NOT have any sorbates in them or they will kill the yeast and fermentation will not take place..
The best blackberry wine I make is from Walmart brand blackberry jam.
