Last Weekends Finds including a pair of Militia Rifelmen buttons

This may be my only finds post for awhile... most of the fields I detect are planted with corn or soybeans and my daughters softball tournaments are starting this weekend!

Anyways hit a field that I thought I killed over the past couple of years. We have pulled about 50 1800's buttons from a 150' x 100' area. The owner just turned it over from a hay field to plant corn so I got a quick hunt in on Saturday and pulled nine more buttons, including a staff button and a pair of militia riflemen buttons.

I'm amazed at how many more buttons were found after being turned over OR how many buttons I missed before.

I love hunting old fields. Great that you were able to get out between plantings. Those old fields will always produce. You got yourself some great keepers :congrats:

nice finds with all them buttons you may be one of the only ones that i can remember that found a pair of buttons usualy you just find one congrates on your finds dennis
