Letter Opener or Dagger?

Hi all. Found this last night and don't really know what it is. I'm thinking it might be a letter opener, but it's made of iron Could it be a dagger or even a spear head? It was found at the Kemper Military School, and meassures about 12 long (guesstimate)

If I had to guess, I would say it is a spear head. It would get attached to a wooded handle that has a slit in the end then wrapped tightly with string.

I agree, it looks like a spear head or maybe a dagger?

It looks too big to be a letter opener.

Hey thanks guys. I have a correction on the length. I went out and meassured it before heading in to work this morning, and it is only 7 1/2 long.
