Long weekend of MD'ing

With the family out of town I was able to get out quite a bit in between the rains. The University is closed down for the summer so I was able to get over there and hunt some curb strips. A good part of the campus area is in one of the older sections of town so I was hoping to dig some older coins and with the 1000's of kids that have been through there you never know what you might find. Well I wasn't disappointed I dug 3 silver dimes and a sterling ring as well as 2 IH's, a 1882 and a 1905. I also pulled 4 wheats including a 1910 and 1919, a cool old key and a cinco centavo coin as well as about 10 bucks in clad. I also found on the surface what appears to be a gold necklace that lost a fight with a lawnmower, it started raining pretty hard so I had to leave but I will be back to see if I can find the rest of it. All in all it was one of the best hunts that I've had in a long time.

Very nice finds, indeed! |:cheering:

Congrats on the Indians, silver and gold! That is a great idea to hunt to curb strips around campus during the summer when most of the students are away.

That necklace looks like a pretty big chunk of gold! I really like that silver ring too.

:congrats:

Love the key. Nice looking cabachon ring too. I haven't seen gold in so long I can hardly recognize it :-\ Nice hunt.
