Well if there has to be a policy, I agree with one of the comments made after the article. The detectorist or pehaps a club should lobby with the city for a free permit. (If you live there your already paying for the park). When appling for the permit one would have to show their club membership card or something similar to show that that person knows what they are doing. IMHO.

There are some very well thought out and written pieces in there. And every bit of it is true. :yes:
It's a shame that more and more places are being shut down to detectorists \:[
